Ordery uses Stripe to process customer payments securely. This guide explains how to connect Stripe, monitor payment status, and troubleshoot common issues.
What is Stripe?
Stripe is a payment processing platform that lets you accept card payments online.

- You connect your Stripe account to Ordery
- Customers pay by card at checkout

Connecting Stripe
Before you can accept orders, you must connect a Stripe account.
How to Connect Stripe
- Go to Payments in your admin panel
- Click Connect with Stripe
- You'll be redirected to Stripe's website
- Create a new Stripe account or log in to an existing one
- Provide your business details:
- Business name and address
- Bank account details
- Business type (sole trader, limited company, etc.)
- Tax ID or VAT number (if applicable)
- Complete any verification steps Stripe requires
- You'll be redirected back to Ordery
What happens next: Your Stripe account is connected. You can now accept card payments.

Stripe may require additional information or documents to verify your account.

Business verification:

Payment Capability Status
Stripe tracks your account's capability to accept payments.
Capability Statuses
Active: Your account is fully verified and can accept payments.

Restricted: Additional verification is required. Payments may be paused.
Inactive: Your account cannot accept payments. Resolve outstanding requirements immediately.
Viewing Your Capability Status
- Go to Payments in your admin panel
- View the Capability Status section
- See which capabilities are active, pending, or restricted
- Follow any prompts to resolve issues
How it affects your storefront: If payments are restricted or inactive, your storefront displays a "Temporarily Unavailable" message.
Due Soon Requirements
Stripe may request additional information periodically to maintain compliance.

- Check the Due Soon Requirements section
- Click to review and complete each requirement

Payout Schedule
Stripe transfers funds to your bank account according to a payout schedule.
Default Payout Schedule
Standard schedule:
- Daily payouts ā Funds transfer every business day
- Delay: 2 business days after the transaction (rolling basis)
Example: An order placed on Monday is paid out on Wednesday.
Viewing Your Payout Schedule
- Go to Payments in your admin panel
- View the Payout Schedule section
- See your current cadence and next payout date
Changing Your Payout Schedule
Payout schedules are managed through Stripe.
How to change:
- Log in to your Stripe dashboard
- Go to Balance ā Payouts
- Adjust the schedule (daily, weekly, monthly)

Bank Account Details
Stripe sends payouts to your registered bank account.

Updating Bank Account Details
Bank account changes are made through Stripe.
How to update:
- Log in to your Stripe dashboard
- Go to Settings ā Bank Accounts
- Add or update your bank account details
- Stripe may require verification (e.g., micro-deposits)
